15 Promises is named for the fifteen promises Our Lady makes to those dedicated to her Holy Rosary. Through the rosary, the Blessed Virgin Mary leads us to her Son. Contemplation of the rosary's Mysteries draws us into the life of Christ, the life of Mary, St. Joseph and all parents, and to our own humanity which Christ shared with us. The rosary isn't repetition. It is meditation against the backdrop of murmured prayer, prayer that brings us to Jesus and His peace. Blessings to all who visit us here. We appreciate you.
Gemstones and metals of the Bible: It is exciting to find gemstones and materials we use today in the fabrication of sacred objects in the Bible. Much as Aaron wore the Pectoral of Judgment to continually call the Sons of Israel to mind in the presence of Yahweh, Our Lady's Holy Rosary is among many sacramentals we hold and wear to continually call Our Savior to mind. From Genesis to Revelations, gemstones have significance. My rosaries and jewelry reflect the heritage of Christ by focusing on the biblical metals, such as gold, bronze and silver, and the gemstones known and used, such as topaz, onyx, carnelian, jasper, emeralds, amethyst, turquoise, and many more.
About Gemstones: Gemstones make exquisite rosaries designed to appeal to our sense of art, appreciation for the gifts with which God abundantly blessed the earth, and to draw us to a longing to hold this precious sacramental in our hands. Reflection, meditation, and prayer follow naturally. Gemstones can be both exquisite and flawed, breathtakingly beautiful if cut, polished, and perfect to the eye, but often surprisingly magnificent in their natural state, not "good enough" to be cut and polished into a jeweler's gem. Some of the gemstones in my rosaries are exactly how a jeweler would use them, and some are precious gemstones, such as sapphire, in the matrix. These stones are affordable alternatives to their precious siblings and remain beautiful and meaningful.
