Traditional Prayers
The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that
anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your
intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, we turn to
you, O Virgins of virgins, our Mother. To you we come, before you we
stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not
our petitions, but in your mercy hear us and answer us. Amen.

The
Magnificat
"My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the
lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy
according to the promise he made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his
descendants forever."
(Luke 1:45-55)

The Angelus
The Angel of the Lord
declared unto Mary.
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
(Hail Mary....)
Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
Be it done unto me according to thy word.
(Hail Mary....)
And the Word was made Flesh.
And dwelt among us.
(Hail Mary....)
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech
Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the
Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an
Angel, may by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His
Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
May the divine assistance remain
always with us and may the souls of the faithful departed, through the
mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
